Thank
you for visiting! Please sit here by the crackling fire, enjoy a cup of
tea, snuggle with your favorite furry friend and stay a while. Pet Home
Magazine is very a special bi-monthly publication. Not only does it cater to the
health/decor-conscious pet lover, it helps to save lives with a percentage
of net proceeds donated to the Animal Miracle Foundation. Pet Home gives you fresh
ideas, inspiring stories, whimsical crafts and holiday projects that you
can do by yourself or with your kids in honor of your pets. We'll show you
how-to tips on everything from installing an outdoor dog shower to
securing your pets properly in the car. Our health section will help to
quell those allergies for both you and your pet and teach you proper pet
care and behavior advice by top experts.
From the stable to the barn, we'll
talk about the emotional health of horses and farm animals, helping you to
learn just what they need in regards to nutrition, exercise and
environment for all seasons. We've got cooking for your pets with some of
the nation's greatest chefs and even feature holiday dinners that your
dogs and cats can enjoy with you! Don't forget the heroes! Every year
we'll award a hero pet or hero person that has made a difference in the
life of another. We'll feature stories of amazing and heartfelt animal rescues
and life beyond abuse. Contests galore will be going on at all times with
some really terrific prizes and we'll even have a section for kids and
pets, as well as a section to memorialize your babies that have crossed
the Rainbow bridge - so keep that Kleenex™
handy.
My life has
been devoted to saving those who have no voice - hence, Pet Home's
biggest focus is animal rescue. Many pets are abandoned,
neglected and abused because of a lack of education about how to properly
care for and live with them in peace and harmony. Often, people bring pets
into their homes without proper research of the species or breed,
resulting in problems that occur from a breakdown of the relationship -
ultimately ending, many times in the death of the pet as a condition of
over-crowding at animal shelters and rescue facilities. There are many pet
owners who relinquish their pets simply because they shed their
fur on furniture, dig in the garden, climb the curtains and scatter feathers
and bird seed onto the floor.
My goal with Pet Home Magazine is to help prevent you from abandoning your
pets by teaching you how fun and easy it can be to share your life with
them. There are so many simple and easy ways to co-exist with animals of all
kinds and still have a beautiful, stylish, clean smelling home. Sharing
our hearts and homes with our pets should be fun and life enhancing
- not stressful. Your family and friends may not always treat your home
or what's in it, with concern or care...but you don't just send
them away! Ok, so I know at times you may want to, but when it
comes down to it, a pet deserves your love and commitment just as much as
your family does. You've chosen to bring them into your home and must
take responsibility for them. You cannot just cast them away like an old
sofa. All you need is a fun and enlightening resource to continuously
teach and encourage you along the path of your journey through life with
your pets. You need a resource you can count on to deliver just what you
need. I want Pet Home to be that resource for you." ~
Warm wags and
wishes,
